Step 1: Schedule and attend a free 15-minute discovery phone consultation with Dr. Marx. Discuss your health struggles and goals.

Step 2: After the discovery call, if you and Dr. Marx agree this is a good fit, it is time to schedule a Foundational History Assessment (90 minutes). You will then register with our electronic medical record, sign consent forms, complete new patient questionnaires, and upload medical records (optional). One to two years prior medical records can be beneficial for identifying trends and establishing a baseline for our work.

Step 3: Schedule and attend a Foundational Laboratory Test Assessment (90 minutes). The results of these assessments determine the direction for a subsequent personalized treatment plan that incorporates leveraging modifiable lifestyle factors, including Sleep and rest, movement or exercise, nutrition, stress, and relationships. It is through these lifestyle changes that balance is restored, and healing follows.

You will be introduced to team members who are trained in Functional Medicine nutrition and coaching. You are encouraged to engage their services to the extent you desire and feel necessary. A well-trained Functional Medicine nutrition expert and coach will assist you in achieving your goals.

Integrity Functional Medicine offers fully HIPPA-compliant Telemedicine services only. 

Currently, Dr. Marx only offers services in Pennsylvania. Soon, he will accept clients in Maryland and Ohio.

Integrity Functional Medicine (IFM) is complementary to primary care medicine, not a substitute. Conventional medicine is best when it focuses on acute needs in the setting of the Primary Care physician's office, Urgent care, or Emergency Care. IFM focuses on your optimum health so that your acute needs, especially hospital visits, are less frequent.

Yes! You can ask quick questions about your treatment plan through our online patient portal messaging system (Cerbo). Your provider will attempt to respond within two business days.

Patients can self-schedule visits using our online patient portal, Cerbo. After the discovery call with Dr. Marx, if both parties agree that Integrity Functional Medicine is a good fit, you'll receive an invitation to schedule a New Patient Visit. Subsequent visits can also be self-scheduled via Cerbo.

We partner with Fullscript, an online supplement store offering third-party tested supplements. After your visit, you'll receive an email with a unique link to FullScript containing recommended supplements and purchase instructions. As a client of Integrity Functional Medicine, you are eligible for a 20% discount through FullScript.

Specialty tests are usually not covered by insurance. However, we help you get the lowest price by paying the test company directly. Some tests, like the quantitative PCR stool test, may be billed to insurance, but coverage isn't guaranteed.

Your labs may be covered depending on your health insurance plan. We provide a handout after your New Patient Visit to help you determine coverage. We prefer ordering labs via Quest but can use other labs depending on your insurance. Out-of-pocket lab options are also available.

The number of visits depends on your unique health challenges. Typically, plan for at least five visits: a New Patient Visit, a Comprehensive Lab Review Visit, and three follow-up visits.

Follow-up visits vary based on your health goals, test results, and progress. For example, a visit can range from two weeks to 2 months apart, with six weeks typical. The frequency is decided jointly between you and your provider.

We welcome asymptomatic patients interested in illness prevention, biohacking, longevity, and health optimization.

We require a minimum twenty-four-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling via Cerbo. Cancellations within twenty-four hours are subject to a $250 fee for a Foundational Assessment appointment or $125 for a Follow-up appointment.
